"I have personally used Aloka, Acuson, Toshiba, Diasonics, Philips HD-11, ATL-5000, Sonosite, many GE models, and the Biosound MyLab25 and have never seen better detail in assessing venous anatomy and pathophysiology. "Recently, my academic phlebology practice underwent a transformation when I acquired the MyLab25 from Biosound. Despite its compactness and portability, the MyLab25 delivers radiology level performance with its high resolution 192 channel transducer and Tissue Enhancement Imaging (Harmonics), all displayed beautifully on the 15-inch LCD screen. The clarity of its images in the B-mode, pulse wave Doppler, and color-flow are first rate. The zoom feature is perfect for my duplex guided sclerotherapy. There are well designed presets in the software that are perfect for phlebology and the keyboard interface is logical and user-friendly. The excellence of this machine is mirrored by Mr. Mark Mollenkopf, an RVT who performed the initial install and training and provided outstanding customer service. There are other compact ultrasound units (I own one before the MyLab25, and it is now in the corner gathering dust) that are more expensive but do not deliver the same performance as this machine. I cannot rave enough about this unit. Now my dilemma is what to do with my other ultrasound machine."
